Is this legal, is the number one asked question?

Yes!  You have the right to share your experiences with other CustomerCheck.co.za members. We do not publicly share any information about reported customers. You are not liable for slander since posted reviews are only available to members only who have generated a specific search query for the sole purpose of conducting business.

Just like you have the right to report bad customers to Credit Bureaus in South Africa, you can as well report good and bad customer experiences to other members.

You can also report someone as a private individual, just as they do on Facebook.

Although search results are generated from complete information, customers’ full information is not displayed in the search results. This eliminates the abuse of customers’ information and checks the use of customers' information for the wrong reason.

No South Africa ID numbers is used to report customers, we only work on date of birth. First 6 digits of ID.

Can a member see I made the report?

No!  You will receive a personal ID number that will be visible on the reports, but your report remains completely anonymous.

Can anyone at Customer Check see it was me who filed a report?

No!  The Admins of Customer Check can see what business specifically made the report. We will only use this information if we need to contact you about a report you filed.

Will a customer know I filed the report?

No! , unless you want to tell them.   All of the filed reports are given a randomly generated number that cannot be traced back to you.  Your information is kept secure, and we will not contact the customer.

How do you keep the customers’ information secure?

We use SSL encryption for the database, and only a perfect match from a search will produce a result. Generic searches are not allowed; in other words, members cannot search the database for everyone in a zip code.  Protecting the privacy of our members and everyone in our database is our highest priority.

I signed up and was approved, now what?

Start posting reviews! Go as far back in time as you want to file as many reports on customers, good or bad. If you want to report customers in bulk, please contact us to assist.

Then, as customers contact your business feel free to search the database to see if there were any reports filed on them by other members.  Now you can know who to do business with, and who to avoid.

This site is available 24/7 for you to report, search, and protect your business.

The issue changed can I modify my review?

No! , you can contact admins, and they will make any changes you request on any review you filed or just click on "Request a correction for ............." in the customers profile.

What about POPIA act in South Africa?

All business are requered to be Popia compliant at all times, reporting customers on CustomerCheck.co.za or not.

All customer infomation is kept on a secure server and CustomerCheck.co.za complies will all Popia regulations.

Although search results are generated from complete information, the customers' full information is not displayed in the search results. This eliminates customers' information being abused and or used for the wrong reason. You can search a customer when you have his/hers information, but cannot locate or trace the information of a customer

Individuals is not subject to Popia in South Actica and can report anyone.
